About the event
Kabuki Dancers from the Acadiana area of Louisiana use a unique mixture of dance, drums, and spoken word to entertain and excite while delivering a positive message to kids and their families.
In this program, the Kabuku Dancers discuss the many different types of dance styles derived and influenced by Hip-Hop culture. This includes: Â Breakin, Popping, Locking, Waving, and others. We also talk about the pioneers and dance crews that popularized and brought these styles into mainstream culture. The program concludes with a dance workshop and is approximately 45 minutes in length.
