Butterworth Playground Update

Structure for Ages 5-12

ACCOMPLISHED

• The gate on the side near the hospital has been repaired.

• The main playground structure for ages 5-12 has been installed! Check it out here: https://www.kincaderecreation.net/stfrancisvillepark

IN PROGRESS

• We have ordered signs to place on both sides of the gate reminding folks to keep it closed.

• We have gotten pricing on a child safety gate for the front entrance and hope to order that shortly.

• We have ordered signs with info on how to report wasps nests, ants, garbage, or other issues to library staff.

• We are still waiting on the Bookworm and Betti's Bus to come in a be installed.

• Ordering noise cancelling headphones for checkout at the library for those sensitive to sound.

• Scheduling cleaning of the toddler play area.

IN THE FUTURE

• Once the bookworm and bus have been installed we'll be contacting the West Fel LSU AgCenter about redoing the sidewalk stencils.

• Contacting Meadow Creek Natives about a possible pollinator garden.

• Redoing the Jeep

• Planning a Reopening Party once the other pieces are installed!

• Playhouse

• Picnic Tables
