WiFi Hotspots Now Available!

You can now check out WiFi hotspots with your library card. We now have twenty-five mobile hotspots in our Library of Things, which have been provided through the Southern University Law Center Building Digital Leaders Pilot Project.

What’s a WiFi Hotspot, Anyway?

Great question! Hotspots are portable devices that let you connect to the internet wherever you are. They are easy to use. Don't believe it? Check out the instructions below:

How Do You Get One?

It’s as easy as borrowing a book! Here’s the scoop:

  • Who Can Borrow? Any West Feliciana Parish Library cardholder aged 18 and up with a card in good standing can check out a hotspot (aside from Temporary Patrons, or users with less than three months of borrowing history).

  • How Long Can I Keep It? You get 14 days of glorious, uninterrupted WiFi access.

  • Where Can I Use It? Anywhere there's cell service! Use it at home, on a road trip, in the park, or impress your friends at that cabin in the woods with no WiFi.

The Fine Print (Because There's Always Fine Print)

  • Don’t be a WiFi hog—limit one hotspot per household at a time.

  • Want to renew? You can renew ONCE (if there isn't a waitlist), but feel free to check out another one after you return it—sharing is caring, after all.

Stay connected, stay entertained, and stay awesome. 🚀
